I'm usually juggling multiple accountability groups, and on this particular Saturday, I almost skipped a business vision board party I had RSVP'd for. My schedule was overwhelming, and I thought, "I've hosted plenty of these; I can do it later." But at the last minute, I decided to take a breather, join the call, and work on my vision board alongside fellow entrepreneurs. To my surprise, my coach announced that the first 10 people to complete and post their boards would receive $100. I quickly put mine together and posted it, becoming one of the first to receive the reward. Before midnight, true to her word, my coach transferred the $100.
This experience reinforced a few vital lessons for me. Firstly, "If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready." Being prepared and open to opportunities, even when they seem minor, can lead to unexpected rewards. Secondly, taking a break to engage with like-minded individuals can offer fresh perspectives and renewed motivation. Finally, the simple act of showing up can lead to unforeseen gains. This incident also reminded me of a deeper truth: when you allow space for rest and reflection, you open doors for both financial rewards and personal growth.
Just as my decision to join the vision board party led to unexpected financial gain and renewed inspiration, your journey can be filled with similar opportunities. Sometimes, taking a break and engaging with a community of peers is all it takes to find a new direction or motivation.
