How to Develop Courage with These 3 Habits

How to Develop Courage with These 3 Habits

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is celebrated on the third Monday of January. In honor of his legacy, we should live our lives with honor, courage, integrity, racial equality, and peace, as these are all the things he exemplified so well.

I want to encourage you today to walk in peace while speaking out for yourself and your values.

In today's blog, I would like to share three tips on how to build courage in order to pursue your dreams.

Instead of waiting for a crisis to bring out the lion in you, you can start now to develop habits that will strengthen your courage. These 3 steps will help you overcome the doubts and fears that prevent you from realizing your dreams.

Embrace your fears: Trying to avoid things that scare you is natural, but avoiding them comes with a high price. Instead of seeing challenges as obstacles, see them as opportunities.

Focus on Your Purpose: The courage to face adversity broadens your vision. Imagine what you could accomplish if you could set aside your limiting beliefs. When you find something that you value more than your pride or comfort, it will be easier to be more courageous.

Boost Your Confidence: Focus on the benefits of having more courage. Use your self-talk to give yourself reassurance and encouragement.  Review your successes to keep yourself motivated. Past successes give you confidence that you can succeed in the future.

Get in the habit of being brave. Master your fears and stay strong in the face of challenges. Living a more meaningful life is the ultimate reward of building up your courage.
