Tuesday Goal Routines to Consider

If you want to change your life, you must change your habits. With your already hectic schedule, accomplishing your future goals can be challenging. I believe that goals should be broken down into small routines that are achievable—one step at a time, one day at a time, by adding routines to your daily schedule. Think about the goals you want to achieve for the year, and then get creative and start incorporating them into your daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly routine. Here are some Tuesday goal routines to consider.



Toss it out Tuesday: How many times have you heard that “cleanliness is next to Godliness”? Well, I can’t be certain that cleaning my house will get me closer to God, but it’s a good idea to clean it anyway. Take some time today to toss out unwanted items.



Today is Touch IT Tuesday! What is IT? It’s that goal you’ve written down, that car you’re saving for, that house that’s on your vision board. Carve out a few minutes today, and do a drive-by. Go see it! Go touch it! Go smell it! Then get back to work and make it happen! 




It’s Tax Time Tuesday! Don’t wait until the last minute to work on your taxes. Trust me – I know! Take this day to enter receipts, look at your budget, organize records, and seek new deductions. Get a jump-start on tax time.



Today is Taco Tuesday! If you live in Southern California, there are all sorts of deals on tacos today. I usually use this day to make homemade tacos for my family or get tacos on my way home from the office. You can create a family tradition – or just take a break from the kitchen tonight. #tacos #tacotuesday #familydinner #family #routines #tuesday #tuesdayroutines #goals




Watching television can be a relaxing pastime, but it can also begin to suck your brain out through your eyeballs with excessive use. Okay, that may be a slight exaggeration – but you can’t deny that too much television makes you feel tired and spacey. Limit your television-watching to a few shows per week; just the ones you REALLY want to see. Don’t keep channel-surfing mindlessly because you’re bored! If you’re bored, get up and do something else. Read something that will get your mind working again, or go out and do something physical. Within a few days of cutting down the amount of time you spend staring blankly at that screen, you’ll notice that you feel much more energetic, and probably more positive too (depending on the type of programming you’re used to watching).



#routines #relationships Today is Text Tuesday! Text 10 people you haven’t spoken to in a while. See how they are doing, see if you can help them, pray for them, put in a good word for them to somebody.



Take a break Tuesday: Nothing results in burnout faster than pushing yourself too hard, too often, for too long! Sometimes we feel unmotivated simply because our bodies and minds are telling us “enough is enough!” Assess whether you need to motivate yourself, or if you simply need some downtime to recharge. If you’ve been burning the midnight oil too often lately, take some time off. Even a few hours of relaxation and fun will renew your motivation more effectively than any motivational techniques. It’s Tuesday! Take a Break!  It’s ok.
