Live each day as if it’s your last!

Do not be afraid to die, it will happen to all of us. But do not make LIVING like a near-death experience. Embrace each day, hour and minute as if it were your last…because it might be.

On Wednesday, I attended my mom’s home going service. I’ve probably attended 7 funerals in my lifetime. They are always life-changing experiences (no pun intended) -another opportunity to take a deeper look at the direction of my life …or death for that matter.

I’ve never been afraid to die, but I’ve definitely been guilty of being afraid to LIVE……. I mean truly LIVE!

Over the years, I’ve cheated myself out of vacations, quality time with MYSELF, enjoying the park and the beach. I’ve always worked very hard because I knew that my tomorrow was going to solely be based on the work that I would put in TODAY.

However, what I failed at is…. thinking and planning so much for tomorrow that I forget to embrace TODAY and all the good it has to offer.

I’m working on a plan for next year that would allow me to live a little more.

Here’s to life!

No complaints and no regrets.
I still believe in chasing dreams and placing bets.
But I have learned that all you give is all you get
So give it all you got.

I had my share, I drank my fill, and even though
I’m satisfied I’m hungry still
To see what’s down another road, beyond the hill
And do it all again.

So here’s to life and all the joy it brings.
Here’s to life for dreamers and their dreams.

Funny how the time just flies.
How love can go from warm hellos to sad goodbyes
And leave you with the memories you’ve memorized
To keep your winters warm.

For there’s no yes in yesterday.
And who knows what tomorrow brings or takes away.
As long as I’m still in the game I want to play
For laughs, for life, for love.

So here’s to life and every joy it brings.
Here’s to life, for dreamers and their dreams.

May all your storms be weathered,
And all that’s good get better.
Here’s to life, here’s to love, here’s to you.

May all your storms be weathered,
And all that’s good get better.
Here’s to life, here’s to love, here’s to you.
