Discover Your Purpose

“There is no greater gift you can give or receive than to honor your calling. It’s why you were born. And how you become most truly alive.” – Oprah

I remember one day getting so upset because I applied for something and did not get it. I was hurt, mad, upset. Then I thought, do I even still really want that? The answer was no. Turns out, that was all about my ego leading me astray. It was a stark reminder to make sure I was seeking and achieving things that align with my purpose – not my ego.

Before you even consider pursuing a goal, take some time to explore and identify your purpose. Finding your life’s purpose can radically change your trajectory for the better. You’ll feel more focused, motivated, and fulfilled.

Get into a quiet space and answer the questions below. These few questions won’t help you discover your purpose, but they should get you thinking in the right direction.

  • Have I been living my life’s purpose? If yes, how do I know? If no, why not?
  • What advantages would I enjoy if I knew the purpose of my life?
  • What do I really believe in?
  • What’s unique about me?
