ActiveTrails: Compare notes about your favorite ski trails at ActiveTrails. The site covers skiing worldwide, so it’s also ideal for researching all those trails you’d like to ski some day. Developed by ActiveTrails.

WeEndure: Into endurance sports like running and swimming? You can track your progress with WeEndure as well as connect with other folks interested in the same activities. The site even lists events like marathons.

HyperStrike: Create custom workouts for yourself on HyperStrike, where you can also plan meals and make use of other fitness tools. This is a great way to optimize your workouts, learn new exercises and get the right diet figured out. $39.95 per 3 months, but offers a 14-day free trial.

Diddit: Need ideas on what to do when you get outside? Diddit helps you find checklists of activities other people have enjoyed, as well as create your own; a great web app for activity discovery and sharing. Free to use, but requires sign up.

Wandermap: With Wandermap, you can find hiking routes all over the world, shared by a variety of other hikers. You can also create and recommend your own routes.
