This post is for Monday, July 27th. This is week #30 of our 52 Mondays challenge. Our goal is to break this year down - one Monday at a time.
A few years ago, I decided to rename my comfort zone to "The Zone". I realized that the only person that was holding me back from reaching my full potential was me.
This week, we are going to decide that producing results is far more important than being uncomfortable. Spend time this week doing one task each day which is outside your comfort zone. Take a concrete and practical step towards your goal even if you’re nervous and
Go after that big client. Apply for that promotion. Launch that new product line. Try that new hairstyle. Daring
yourself to do something impressive is the only way you will ever find what you’re
genuinely capable of achieving. So do some scary new things this week and see what happens.
Some actions in your list are going to be simple steps that you have no problem executing while other action items may terrify you. The idea is to get in the habit of taking action.
Here’s our 52-week Monday Plan: Do, Plan, Journal, and Read
- Do: Spend time this week doing one task each day which is outside your comfort zone.
- Plan: Using your Weekly Goal Accountability Tracker, write out your goals for this week.
- Journal: Using your 2020 Goals Journal, continue to work on your personal development goals
- Read: Spend at least 30 minutes reading the recommended book of the month.
