Welcome to day #3 of 30 Days of Poetry with Sherea VéJauan.

This April marks the 22nd anniversary of National Poetry Month, which was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996. In honor of National Poetry Month, I’ll be sharing 30 of my favorite poems during the entire month of April – including live poetry readings from my book Outspoken: A collection of stories, poems and inspirational sayings.

Today’s Poem is…Thank God For Dirty Dishes

Thank God for dirty dishes;

They have a tale to tell.

While others may go hungry,We’re eating very well

With home, heal
Thank God For Dirty Dishes

Thank God for dirty dishes;

They have a tale to tell.

While others may go hungry,We’re eating very well

With home, health, and happiness,

I shouldn’t want to fuss;

By the stack of evidence,

God’s been very good to us.
